CBJC – Salmon Fishway
The Jacques-Cartier River is the westernmost salmon river in Quebec, a source of regional pride.
Each participant receives a coupon for a free visit to the CBJC salmon fishway (2 minutes from our base). This educational activity supports the restoration, conservation, and enhancement of the Jacques-Cartier River (we donate the cash value of the coupon to the CBJC). Valid on the same day or anytime during the summer.
Riverbank Cleanup
1 cleanup per year
Our area is extremely clean (thankfully), but there are still areas that need some TLC.
2025: 460 pounds of waste removed from the Jacques-Cartier River (in collaboration with the CBJC and the Government of Quebec).

Founded by Alex Dubreuil, an international circus performer and experienced outdoor guide, Rivière Concept was born from a deep passion for rivers and a desire to share their magic.
It all started back in 2011, when an improvised descent of the Jacques-Cartier River ended with a helicopter evacuation. That turning point marked the beginning of a personal mission — to turn a mistake into a purpose.
Ten years later, in the midst of the pandemic, Alex founded Rivière Concept with a vision to reinvent river adventures through a modern, human, and safety-focused approach.
From the Matawin to the Batiscan, through the Mékinac and the St. Maurice, Rivière Concept explored some of Québec’s most beautiful rivers before finally settling on the Jacques-Cartier, between Pont-Rouge and Donnacona, in 2023.
Today, the company is recognized for its guided inflatable kayak and family rafting trips, blending adventure, safety, and a deep connection to nature.
