🧗‍♂️ Difficulty

  • Beginner / Intermediate (rapids R-1 to R-3).

Being in good physical condition is recommended to handle changing weather conditions, swim in rapids, and paddle for an extended period.

The most challenging part is usually carrying your boat to the put-in (~800 m) and at the take-out (~200 m). Kayaks weigh 25–30 lb (solo or 2x2) and rafts weigh 105–150 lb (team effort).

What influences the difficulty level:

  • Type of craft

Kayak → more difficult 🔺
Rafting → easier 🔻

  • Water level

High water (≈ May–June) → more difficult 🔺
Low water (≈ July–August) → easier 🔻

👕 What to bring
