CBJC – Salmon Fish Pass
The Jacques-Cartier is the westernmost Atlantic salmon river in North America — an emblematic fish of the Quebec region, a fragile resource undergoing restoration.
Just 2 minutes from our base, the CBJC fish pass allows you to observe the king of rivers in full migration, through submerged windows that give the impression of being underwater with him.
Each participant receives a coupon to visit the site for free.

On site: a unique glass-enclosed observatory, an interpretive trail, and an employee available to answer your questions.

About Rivière Concept
Founded by Alex Dubreuil, an international circus artist and experienced outdoor guide, Rivière Concept was born from a deep passion for the river and the desire to share it.
It all started in 2011, when an impromptu descent on the Jacques-Cartier River ended with a helicopter evacuation. This pivotal moment marked the beginning of a quest: to transform his mistake into a mission.
Ten years later, in the midst of the pandemic, Alex founded Rivière Concept. He wanted to reinvent river activities with a modern, human and safe approach.
From the Matawin to the Batiscan, via the Mékinac and the Saint-Maurice, Rivière Concept showcases the most beautiful waterways of Quebec before settling permanently on the Jacques-Cartier, between Pont-Rouge and Donnacona, in 2023.
Today, Rivière Concept specializes in rafting and inflatable kayaking in Quebec City, offering accessible, safe and immersive descents in the Jacques-Cartier River canyon.
